LT 80 Paddle Tires
#1
Hello all. New member to this forum long time browser. I have read many of the topics in this forum going back about 60 pages or so. Some really great information. I have just had some work done to my sons quad by a friend over at CT Racing. Mild port and polish, carb mods, new top end, and clutch mods as mentioned here on this forum. Took the quad out a couple of days ago to Pismo and it ripped. I was astounded by the difference in performance. The only problem we had was getting the little man up some of the hills, so i am in the need of some paddle tires. We are heading to Dumont Dunes next Thursday thru Sunday and i am curious to see how far up Comp hill this little Quad can go. So please post some recomendations and pictures if possible of some of the setups that you guys are using.
Thanks,
GP

For those bikes I have liked the Skat trac gliders in 18" or ITP sandstars they both hookup and run very well. We also had a set of 18" geckos and they worked ok but were REALLY heavy. If you ride on pavement or rocks at all like on campsites the sandstars will hold up better. The paddles are much tougher and theyre still pretty light. I have some pics if you post or pm email.

I would say stick with the Gliders. My LT80's have both. Here is a video of one of Jacks motors with Gliders and one of a stock Lt with Gecko's

I will let you guess which one Jack built.

Cool video.
Hopefully you can hook up with Spoolin. I'd like to see the results on how the 2 motors compare.

Go with the Gliders. My son's 80 is stock except for the FMF pipe. He can make it up Oldsmobile and Competition Hills (The sides where the trucks go up). He has offset rims with the Gliders on the rear and spacers up front with some smooth buff tires.
