LT-Z50 Preformance
#1
I am about to buy a new 2006 LT-Z50 for my daughter. I understand she will most likely out grow the quad fairly quickly due to its low power 50cc 4 cycle engine. Other than removing the factory restrictions does any one have any other ideas or a source for after market parts. Im not looking for a lot but a couple extra ponies out of the engine or maybe a new clutch kit would help. Also, how about a source for wheel spacers to widen the foot print for greater stability and I am looking for a set of paddle tires to help her move arround in the sand. Thanks.

Old Grey,
I'm right there with you look'n for the same answers. As far as I know there is only the Throttle Stop and CVT spacer on these bikes. I have adjusted my Sons throttle and removed the spacer from the CVT and now he can go about 18 MPH on smooth trails. But he is wanting more and the engine appears to have another form of Rev limiter in it some where... In the meantime it has been a great bike for the boy and I think he will ride it for sometime if I can find him some more power...
Good Luck,
Hibrass

that 50 is a 2 stroke if i am not mistaken.
you can get a clutch kit and a pipe. mill the head. get some reeds. take off any stock power limiting crap. and dont get scared when i say mill teh head it could not me any easyer on that bike. i bet for 3 to 400 bucks you can have that little bike snorting prety hard.
take a second look into power mods for that model and its engine specs. you will find it to be a 2 stroke.
i was looking into this bike my self. but i desided i will get my son a 80 when he is older now that i got him a chinese starter bike.
i will get the kawaski versions of the suzuki bikes. they look better. you cant beat that kawi green
look into klx or kl or x something or rather 50 it is a better looking bike than that **** yellow. green is mean. and it is the same bike.

The LT50/z-50's are a waste of time. No performance,no suspension....
Do yourself (and especially your child) a favor and look into a a drr/drx 50. 100 times the machine IMO.
The kfx is a Kymco(07).
