The 50cc is the smallest quad you can get. It will fit a 4,5 and small 6yo kid but any older is going to be cramped. So depending on the age and size you may want a 70 or even a 90.

Hey Jeff,

I agree with 2manytoys, the GIO is quite small. I have a ten year old daughter who is 90 pounds. The GIO quad can pull her around with ease, but she looks like an elephant on a moped. (very cramped).

If your rider is a small person, these quads are a great deal and they run great, otherwise.....a larger quad would be a good idea.

Thanks for the info guys . The rider is riding a 84 lt50 now and the size is good but she needs something with suspension because she is learning how to do some small jumps and the lt50 dosn't land all that well , I think i'll get the giovanni and if it don't work out i can awalys sell it .

Thanks for the help , Jeff

The GIO has suspension, but keep in mind that it's rated for 300lbs .. I was just about to post a new topic wondering if anyone has replaced the springs with lighter duty ones but figure I may as well piggy back on yours if that's ok? We're hoping to receive our quad next week and I'd like to get the softer springs up front if possible.

Cheers!!

I'm not sure how old your daughter is. However, if you are getting a Giovanni, I'd go with the 110cc mini hummer. That one will be useful for much longer. I got my 8 year old daughter a 70cc mini. It's been very good for her, but now she is 9 and I wish I got the 110cc mini hummer instead from my local chinese atv dealer (his is Loncin though, not Gio but they look exactly the same). The 70 will do her just fine for a couple years, but I know she'd have more fun on the bigger 110 in the next year or so. Still, she still hasn't gone near the top speed on the 70 yet (I keep the throttle screw in place for her because the little mini goes 35 mph or more without it!!!)

Oh yeah, I have the 150cc atv that Giovanni sells as well. However, mine came direct from their manufacturer (Zhejiang Yonkang Easy Vehicle Co.) They also manufacture the Gio mini hummer (model YL-816). Anyway, I really like the 150. It feels quite solid and has great bottom end. It pulls straight up steep hills without a problem. The top end is decent as well and it gets up to 40-45 mph. The only thing is that I had to locktite the bolts on because some of them were jiggling loose. Overall, I'm impressed with it, especially considering what I paid for it.

MY LITTLE GUY AGE 8 WEIGHT 65LBS USED TO RIDE OLDER YAMAHA 60CC NO SUSPENSION,IT IS JUST A LITTLE LARGER THAN THE GIOVANNI 50
I PURCHASED HIM A 07 GIOVANNI 150 SPORT FULL SUSPENSION AND WITH REVERSE HE LOVES THE MACHINE ITS NOT A FULL SIZE QUAD BUT HE THROWS IT AROUND VERY EASILY AND HE WOULD OUT GROW IT IN ONE YEAR.COULDN'T BEAT THE PRICE ABOUT 1/2 OF MAJOR BRAND.
