Your machine came stock with a 10/22~~520 chain size
The older LT's came with a 12/26 ~~428 chain size
If you changed to the 428 then going to a 10 is hard cuz it is a special order sprocket and they want me to order a large amount.
I use a 10/43 but with the tranny welded up.

More low?? That's a first (OK maybe 2nd) LOL.
Yes you have a 10/22 520 is the size of chain/pitch. You will need to get a bigger rear sprocket for for the rear.
FYI: 3 teeth in the rear equalls 1 tooth in the front. IE: Going to a a 32 rear would equal the 2 teeth drop in the front (approx).
You will need another chain and a chain adjuster of some sort..
Most think the stock LT grunts well. You getting ready to pull this at the fair or something?

ok-you're saying, without sarcasm, leave it the heck alone!! this thing just seems to bog down on some of the hills here where we race enough for others to catch up. runs good everywhere else. tractor pulls will come next year!

Maybe removing 2 of the front rollers will help it pull the hills better.

No problemo.
You will need to remove the clutch cover. Once in there you will take off the nut that holds the front clutch together. Pay attention to the order of the things that come off. Once you pull the front clutch hub/variator off, you will see 3 srews that hold the cover on. Remove them and pry the cover off. Pull the roller plate off to expose 6 rollers. Make sure the rollers are round (no flat spots) clean all parts, put a dab of grease on each (4) rollers (don't pack it w/grease like zuki does) and reassemble. make sure the keyway on the plate lines up on the crankshaft. This is time consuming but easy.

It's time consuming until you do it 500 times hahahaha
seems like I've done it that many times, I got it down to a science now.......

Wish I had some pictures to send you Jack, you wouldn't believe the melt down we had on the front clutch.
Not sure what happen (or what I did), but it melted down good..gggggggrrrrrrrrr
no plastic on the rollers left, and no sign of the plastic guides on the roller plate.........

Hey Jack,
A question on the front movable drive face.
There is a what looks like a brass type sleeve that appears to be pressed into the center of the drive face.
Kinda where the oil seal sits..

Is that sleeve removable?
If so, any ideas on how to get it out? I've tried.....
The brass sleave on the front clutch that you modified is broken, so I need to replace it.
Or I have to try to shave out the area where the rollers sit, like you did, on a new one.

Thanks a bunch
