Kazuma 150 chain rubs
#21
thanks for the post smb05.
Yes, it has rubbed since new. This is my second 150. The first one rubbed also but i only had that one for a month before i returned it because of a main bearing seal leak.
It has progressively dug deeper into the frame. I will check the shock mount. I have not put it up to what the wheels run, i was thinking of that but have not done it. I just think this whole issue is a bad design issue. It's was simply positioned too near the frame. The chain slapps around killing the frame etc. It's a grease factory around my chain. AHH that is why i love shaft drives!
The PVC idea is excellent and i will probably use that as a quick simple fix!

My Falcon Adult 250 rubbed from the get go and was bad. The VX-80 didn't start rubbing until the second time out in the woods beating it up. Hope that helps. Also, on my 250, the tentioner flipped around while I was on the trails and dug a hug hole in the swing arm. I just don't think the spring was built trail ready...very soft. SEADAWG

smb05,
Thanks for the pics. My dingo is rubbing an upright tube and a little of the gear box. If I can move the sprocket slightly to the right then I will be ok to put the pvc on the frame tube. Where as yours seems to be hitting from on top of the chain , mine is hitting on it's side.
Thanks again
