Hi everyone I hope someone can help. I have a viper90 that starts up and idles fine. When you put some throttle to it it dies. If I put my hand over the air intake tube or carb with filter housing off and leave just a little room it will run fine. I have played with the air intake on the carb that does nothing, air filter looks ok. Hope I can get some ideas here thanks.

 

Had something similiar on the one we had. They had to replace the carburator.

 

Your main jet is plugged, most likely. Clean the carb and pay close attention to the main. Ride safe, Ed.
