E-Ton Viper 90

Problem!! When my girl rides the viper on flat ground it runs great, but when she starts climbing hills it acts like it does not want to climb the hill, it just won't climb it stays running, could it be the clutch or can I adjust some thing. And the throttle is to hard for her to press all day she says it hurts her hand if we ride for a long time? Any help?

Have you checked exhaust for a restrictor? If it has one removeing it will help quite a bit. As far as the tired thumb you can either get a extender for the thumb control or remove oil injection and run premix

I know on my sons dxl 90 on back of the cdi I cut the green wire [rev limiter] it made a quite a bit of difference. I didnt know they did away exhaust restrictor. What about the brass throttle restrictor in the carb?

The dealer I bought the ATV from has gone out of business but he had cut the green wire on the back of the cdi box before I bought it because my girl has already been riding 4 wheelers. I've opened the throttle up some but maybe not enough. Thanks for the help.

hey guys, about this green cable behind the cdi box, would that apply to predator 90's as well? Our son raced his this weekend and the bike sounds like it has so much more in it and wants to go but can't.... Thanks.

The cdi does have a limiter, If you can find a 2000 model or 2001 model box it will plug right in. There is no magic wire to cut on the predator, the loop is completed inside the box. You possibly could buy the eton viper box and plug it in, check the wire colors and connections. After all this years Predator was built by Eton Motor company anyway. Next years model? Maybe not.
Your right the polaris does have more available power and displacement, it is a full 89.16cc. It all needs unleashing.

My kids had the same thumb trouble and I took a peice of metal (like hold a table cloth on a picnic table)
thin flat peice of metal and extended the thumb throttle so it is easier to push. Someone makes these but I don't know who there called easy thumbs or thumb savers something like that.
Also we ride viper 90 on oregon dunes . same hill trouble . need clutch mods new stiffer springs , front var weights. clutch modes are well worth the money . check wrh or hetrickracing....

As far as the Predator 90 no there is no wire to cut. There is a jumper clip that can be removed and it will open up your pred. I can send you the page in the manual and you will see how to remove it. Very simple to do.
PM me your email.
