If you want headlights, the 2006 Predator 90 does come with headlights. I just bought a new one for my daughter - but it is being built for racing.

She currently races a 2005. She got it at the age of 7 and it was all stock at the time. she handled it great. The only quad experience she had (at the time of purchase) was the powerwheels and 2 weeks on a Predator 50. We had originally purchased her the Predator 50, but after only 2 weeks we realized that it was too small for her. So we gave the 50 to my son (who was 3 1/2 at the time) and bought her the 90. I was a little nervous at first, but she did great on it!

If you child does have some experience on quads, they should be able to handle a stock, 2 stoke 90 with no problems. The Stock Predator 90 can go about 32 mph with all the restrictions removed.

Thanks for all the great information. I made the big jump today and bought 2 artic cat 90cc utility's. I know the 4stroke is much slower than the 2 stroke, but as long as the 4 stroke will go 20 mph (which I heard with all the restrictors removed, they will go atleast 25) then I am satisfied. My boys aren't going to use them for racing, just pasture and trail riding...

Thanks for all for helping me make my decision. This forum has really been helpful and now I am hooked and will return often.

Thanks again.

If the machines are a Kymco, I can make it 120cc's.
That'll help alot if it isn't performing to expectations.

Have you considered Eton? My son has an Eton Viper 70 (2 stroke) that has been put through the ringer and has gone through water & mud (has never been waterproofed) and up hills you wouldn't have believed it would go through. He has buried and required me to pull him out with my Prairie. These require very little maintenance and have more safety features than your average quad. They have a dial on the CDI box that limits the speed as well as the throttle limiter. With the CDI limiter, you leave the throttle screw all the way out and with a small flat screwdriver, you set the dial from 0 to 7 depending on how fast you want to go. I have clocked him on radar at 24/25 miles per hour and this is completely stock. Eton also makes a 4 stroke and have quads with reverse (which is very nice so you don't have to get off your quad to turn them around). They are already wired for headlights and can be installed in 5 minutes, have a horn, great suspension, price etc.
