2 amp chargers will put our 2 amps per hour and if the battery is a 14 amp it will take 7 hours to charge. It you used a battery from another bike and it started up then their is nothing wrong with your starter or solenoid. It is either a bad battery with an internal short or a bad charging system. Sounds like a bad battery to me they have a shelf life of about 10 years max.

Sir,
The battery and starter are junk. I just gave up and bought a new battery from Walmart. The dealer would give me a new one, but by the time I mailed it to them (postage) and wait. ...I said f' it and just bought a good one. SEADAWG\
Also- if that ATV is junk, why don't you share your experience with us? Would you recommend it to anyone else? If yes why, if no why? Help us out. SEADAWG

I really dont think he has a solid opinion because he just got the atv and the battery is dead. So its not fair to judge just yet.

The biggest complaint with most of these quads are the batteries are crap. You would be better off going to walmart and try to match up a new battery. You can keep it on charge over night and see what happens. Make sure you do the prep work right and dont rush. Take your time and it will be a decent quad.

Opps Sorry if I said anything Offensive here but I do have an associate degree in mechanic?s have been pulling wrenches for many years but I guess I can always learn something. I would try starting it with a good battery that will tell you if the starter is good or bad. I would then put a volt meter on the battery and check to make sure the charging system is putting out around 13.4 volts DC ( WHEN THE BIKE IS RUNNING ) if that all check out well sorry to say your battery is bad. You can also load test the battery watch the volts and if it drops off super fast the battery has a internal short. Let us know what you fine out & some input about how you like the quad would also help. I have also found that most times when a battery showes charge when trying to charge it when first hooked up the battery is no good.
Hope this helps a little

Hey guys, I'm just saving him time. The reputation of these batteries are a joke...even my local dealer laughed about them. He is the one that told me to save frustration on the trails and get a real battery. Hey, if I'm wrong, I'm the one that will be happy. I hope the battery is not the problem. I do seem to be a little ....quick with the trigger Have a great Thanksgiving SEADAWG
