Geometry. The wheel spacers will work OK on the rear, but not for the front. My son rides AGGRESSIVELY. The leverage telegraphed to the handlebars is much greater the farther out you put the wheel from the turning axis. Less force to rip the bars out of his hands when he gets 4' of air and lands a little off, or when he hits that root on the trail.

The Jl kits are OK. Well built. They do lower the machine approx 1 inch.
We've rode and raced with spacers for years but the last post is actually 100% correct.
ATVracing1.com has a nice set of a-arms.
What it boils down to is $$$$
Now if I would only take that jig I made off the bench and take it to the fabricator you could have a nifty set that makes the quad 8" wider and 1" taller.....

Wheel spacers on front -- YUK
Had JLATV extenders, they get the job done but wheels now tilt in, front ground clearence drops.
Now have extended a-arms from ATV Racing in Phoenix. These are by far the BEST. Cost the most but ------
Unfortunately I along with 2 other people I am aware of that have bought from ATV Racing all experienced the same thing. You call for A-arms, there out of stock. Excuse after excuse, you will finally get them WEEKS later. They are well fabricated & powder coated in your choice of color.

I just put a ste on my daughters LT and they seem to work just fine. The kit mounted just fine but the only thing I did not like was the new shock bolt they give you really needed to be threaded some more, other than that went on really easy and quick. I also have the Douglas wheels turned around and it really makes it wide. We went riding at Slades (VA) this past friday and all seemed to work just fine in all the sand, mud and water. Both by boy and older daughter rode it all day with no noticable problems. I would really like to put some different shocks on the front but I rally do not have the cash to buy the Works Shocks. Only problem we did have is that when we were heading back out to the trails my boy went thru a decent size water hole and the LT went wide open throttle. My boy shut it down right away and after investigating for a second or two I realized thet the carb slide nut had backed out and allowed the entire slid to back out of the carb. No damage done as I was able to tighten the cap up all the way and continue the ride. Hope this helps you some.
