LT80 rollers keep or remove 2 ??
My sons 92 lt80 has been bogging down in the sand lately It will get moving after a nudge and be fine but will almost not move at all when in soft stuff.I read on here that removing 2 of the front rollers will help with the low end take off.I ordered 4 new rollers and the movable plate and I am going to pull the front clutch assembly next weekend. The motor is stock and has never been modified so I am sure that the rollers are in bad shape. Can anyone give me some pointers as to how to make the job easier.I have read about cutting the peg but is that really neccesary to remove the cover off??My son weighs about 65-70 lbs and I am hoping that the new 4 rollers will help him pull out faster. What do yous think. Thanks in advance for any info..

Hey QIKER, check out this post as I asked LT80 the same question and he replied. It really helps to have those pegs cut in half but like he said they really do not have to be. Hope this helps a little.

Thanks for the link and reply.Did you notice a difference by keeping 2 rollers out is the quad more responsive now?I am not to concerened about top end speed he just needs more power from the get go.Hopefully the new 4 rollers cures that. Thanks again bud....

I have only rode it once or twice since the mod and my kids have not yet. I feel like it made a difference as I pulled a wheelie alot quicker than I used to, but we are talking about a 250lb man verses a 100lb or less kid. Sorry I could not be much help. If you have a question about the LT then ask for Mr LT80 himself as he seems to have just about all the answers for it.
