also looking for more bootem end , boy needs more power for pulling hills , already changed spokets, using 12 tooth on frt. stock at rear , have not found no ouhter ways to give bike the low end needed to pull the hills , thought about playing with clucht by putting havier springs, elory do u have any suggestions?

 

Your idea for the hose routing and filter change to help protect from the mud and water is a worthy one. How well it works will depend on how well you set it up. The jetting numbers I mentioned will still most likely apply for what you are trying. The jets for these mini quads are not the most common type you'll find. It may be a little tricky for you to find.

Their are a few different ways to increase "bottom end". It would depend on what you mean by "bottom end" and what you are willing to lose or not lose to get it. Are you willing to sacrifice top speed for the increase in bottom end? That is what you have done with the sprocket change. Some people don't worry so much about the top speed, some do.

The clutches in these mini's are a simple design but can become tricky to understand and tune. They also tend to develope a give and take personality if not tuned as a whole system. Meaning, if you do something to gain in this area you may lose something in another area. Set up correctly you can have big gains with little to no loses. If done incorrectly you would be surprised how poorly it would work.
