Default unison Desert Cat 90 ?????

Unison did get back to me about mounting the oil level light. They have the handle bar clamps reversed. Raceway on the other hand hasn't even acknowledged the email I sent them about the missing items, leaking gearbox, incorrect manual etc.... So far Unison has been GREAT!!! Very happy with there cust. service. They are going to let me pick a shop of my choosing to fix the leak, (as long as the shop is willing to do the work I suppose) since there isn't a Unison dealer here in Las Vegas.

I said the clamps were reversed. As for Raceway email you have to call not email. They get hundreds of emails and it will take weeks for them to read them. Most times if you call you can go straight to John for questions.

As for the dipstick I also thought it was weird that the gearbox would be filled all the way up but if you look at the polaris scrambler/sportsman 90 they say the same thing. They show fluid at the tip of the short dipstick.

can you see where the gearbox is leaking? Why all of the sudden is it leaking now? Did you add fluid?

I know you said they were reversed, I emailed them before you posted that. Oh by the way thanks, I reversed them before I even looked at the email from Unison.
I was just showing that at least they care enough to acknowledge and send a picture.
As far as the email, I sent it to the administrator (who ever that is). I sent 2 previous emails, and received prompt responses, but now that they have my money coincidence or not, I don't get a reply. Also, if you advertise your e-mail address as a method of contact, I don't care how many emails they get a day, they need to at least acknowledge that they received it and tell me to call to rectify the problem. **** poor customer service IMO.
No the reverse gearbox had a small leak from the beginning. I mean it is very small, but it shouldn't leak at all. The Gearbox (motor) itself isn't leaking at all. I just drained the fluid, and there is nowhere near 7 oz. They sent me an email stating to use 100 -140cc of oil in the reverse gearbox, and 90-100cc in the engine gearbox. On the case it also has 100 cm 3 stamped on the side, which is 3.5 oz. So I guess I will use 3.5 oz. I went and bought some 2 stroke 80w gear oil today and will use that. Thanks again for all of the help.

Well I hope everything works out for you and that you are happy with the 90. I have not heard any complaints about them except for you. Hopefully just a fluke thing. As for the email at raceway I can understand your point but anytime you call them there is always someone to talk to and John always gets back. I dont even bother with email. Whats the point. Email is slow anyways so why not call. They have excellent service. Have you called them and have they gotten back to you?

As for the fluid amounts I think they are wrong at least I know they are wrong with the reverse gearbox. I have the actual installation papers right here with me and they say very clearly that the gearbox takes 150cc of fluid. I think the 100cc would not be enough.

HTELectrical it is always best to call us if you need anything. I am in the office 12 hours a day with a toll free number! We cannot get to the emails as fast as we can get to a ringing phone!

oppssss! One more thing HTELectrical if you are going to talk bad about my service please tell the whole story that I sold you a bike last year you were not happy with it , so I gave you the D.C at a discount to try and help you and keep you as a customer I just feel better to clear the air... Some people might read this like I am a bad guy or not trying to help, but as we all know most forget the good and voice the bad..

I didn't think it was anyone's business and still don't that you gave me discount on this ATV. What I am posting is my experience on this vehicle, and the fact that I have had it for a week, and basically had to do my own research to get it on the trail. If I would have let my son ride it the way it came, it would have been substantially low on fluids in both gearboxes. What I also posted is exactly what happened. I emailed you the first time when I did not receive tracking information when the vehicle was shipped, and the second time when I responded to the email .
Nathan the ATV has shipped already I really don't know what this email is all about??
Then on the last email I sent, I never received and still haven't received a response. I would not call that talking bad about your cust service so to speak. I would and still do think it is a **** poor customer service policy to advertise email as a method of contact and not respond to emails you receive. I personally like email when it comes to warranty issues or missing items on a purchase etc... because there is a written record for both parties, and no he said this or he said that kind of misunderstandings.

It may be more convenient for you, but I can send them at a time that is convenient to me, and not have to take time away from running my company to deal with a problem that should of never happened. There is no excuse for the basic information that I was looking for to not have been included with the ATV especially since it is not a new model. That wouldn't justify the specs missing either.
When the ATV was actually able to be ridden, than I was going to post my opinions on the sale (shipping time, condition, my opinion on the quality etc...). I would of course posted that in the Raceway forum.
2manytoys I am actually very pleased with the overall fit and finish of the vehicle. I am going to take my son out riding this weekend and will have a better opinion then. The biggest complaint so far (actually the only one so far about the ATV) is that they don't have sight glasses built into the 2 gearboxes. The gearbox for the motor is pretty much a done deal, because they are discontinuing production on the 2 stroke, but the reverse gearbox should have either a dipstick, sight glass, or fluid level inspection bolt. They have been using that gearbox since 2005, from what I have read, and should of addressed that aspect long ago. Again, I appreciate your time and assistance very much!!!
P.S. I did put 5 oz. in the gearbox like you recommended.

Yah there should be a better way to check the fluids. Other than that this thing is tough as nails and has tons of power. Your son will have a smile from ear to ear. Let us know how the ride goes.

Maybe it was me I could have read it wrong but when I read "Raceway on the other hand hasn't even acknowledged the email" I was think that was a negative comment?? But anyway why spend time on he said she said! If you would like to resend me an email or call me with any and all questions or problems I will keep an eye out for it and make sure all is taken care of if you still need my assistance. I would also like to thank 2manytoys for all the post on this topic and like always giving a helping hand.

Anytime John. Thats what I am here for. Hopefully everything gets resolved with no hard feelings. I know you take your business seroiusly. Even the smallest comments can make the biggest impacts.

I have never had a problem with HTE and I think I somewhat persuaded him to get the Unison. I feel bad that things have not gone as good as others. I just want him to enjoy the quad knowing he already had a bad experience. I know he will like it once he see's his kid with the huge smile.
