unison Desert Cat 90 ?????

First off the manual is a joke just like the Chinese quads. What makes it even worse is it states it is for a 50cc, 90cc and Mini 50cc, but everything inside is for a 150cc 4 stroke. Of course mine is a 90cc 2 stroke.
I would like to verify where to check fluid specifications and levels. I have the reverse, and yet again there is no documentation on this either. I looked in the Predator user manual and it shows a sight glass on the right side of the engine just in front of the sprocket. I don't see a sight glass, but I do see a bolt that looks like it might be in the same location. The reverse gearbox is in the way. There is an inspection bolt on that I believe, but you have to take off the foot well to access it. Am I checking in the correct places? The manual also states to use premix for the first tank. Should I?

One more thing to add to the list. How do you mount the oil light plastic piece? The holes are about 4 inches apart, and the holes on the handlebars are about 1.5 inches apart. I am sure that is where it goes, but I am not going to drill holes to mount it. I shouldn't have to.

Not sure what manual you got but mine is fine. It sounds like you dont have the handle basr mounts right. There is 2 mounts with 2 holes and 2 mounts with 3 holes. The mounts with 2 holes are on bottom of the bars. The mounts wioth 3 holes are on top with the 3rd hole facing out twards the top if sitting on the quad. Then the holes from cover should line up perfect. If you are looking for a sight glass you wont find one. The manual for the pred that you are looking at is for the new 4 stroke not the older 2 stroke. There is no oil to add to the 2 stroke quads other than the oil tank for the oil injection. You dont need to use premix but if you feel safer then go ahead. Dont get discouraged yet. I think you have a bad taste in your mouth and am expecting the worst. This quad is nothing like a chinese quad. I can understand setting it up your self can be frustrating and it dont sound like you have the right manual. If you have questions on the manual maybe I can help you out.

I didn't mount the Handlebars. They came from the factory with the bars rotated down. I just tightened them. The predator has a sight glass on the 2005, and 2006 2 stroke models. It is for the gearcase oil level. What I want to know is how you check the gearcase oil level? Do you fill it to the top basically so the filler plug is actually used as a dipstick. This doesn't seem correct, since there would be no room for expansion, never mind the fact that I have never seen a gearbox on a vehicle filled to the brim. The next thing I want to know is where to check the reverse gearbox fluid level. I pulled off the foot well and removed the bolt that is on the top left. I used a bent plastic wire tie (zip-tie) and had to make a 3" bend before I found any fluid. That can't be where you check the fluid, if it is then it is extremely low. What really gets me is I shouldn't have to post on a forum to find out how to check the fluid levels on my brand new ATV.
2manytoys if you can verify the correct place to check the fluid levels I would appreciate it.
Here is a link to the Sight Glass on the Pred in the manual. Sight Glass

The reverse gearbox takes 150cc of 80w gear lube. Not sure about the trany. I will have to dig up the manual but I now it takes the same fluid. I guess if it does not have a dipstick or site glass you have to go by volume.
