cdi box on a Raptor 50
I don't know what happened to my reply but ever since I did all of the mods to this I can't get this thing to idle with a darn. I have replaced the pilot and main jets(12.5 and 80). Do I need to replace anything else on the carb? Correct me if I'm wrong but if you turn the air/fuel screw in it allows for fuel. I have that thing screwed in almost all the way. If I back it out the engine revs high! I suppose I could have a air leak since when I did the slide mod I didn't replace any gaskets......

does it idle better if you apply all or some choke. if so then either you have an air leak or the idle mixture is incorrect (too lean). if it idles rougher when the choke is on then its too rich. if you are within 1/2 turn of having the idle mixture screw being all the way in (seated) then you have it in too much. I have found that between 1 1/2 and 2 1/2 turns (counter-clockwise) from fully seated works good. did you replace the gaskets (bowl, slider cover and manifold) when you reassembled. I found especially that the slider cover gets damaged when removing.
you should adjust the idle mixture screw both ways (in and out) until you find the point where the idle RPM is the highest possible for the given idle speed screw setting. this is where the fuel mixture is at its approx. 14.7:1 ratio. I adjusted mine in until the machine ran rough and then out until it ran rough and then chose a spot right in between the points. make sure the machine is warm and the choke is open (off) when doing this. you can then adjust the idle speed screw to get the idle RPM to where you want it. if the idle mixture is too rich or too lean then the engine should not run at its max. idle RPM and will probably be idling rough.
Here are some really good sites on carb. theory and tuning.

Finally got the chance to order gaskets for the carb. On the needle there is a clip. Right now it's on the middle slot. Is that ok? I tried to take it out this weekend and couldn't get it started. It kept flooding. I'm assuming after taking the carb apart, again, I'm getting air leaking into it and that's why I have to have the air/fuel mixture screw almost all the way in, therefor sending too much fuel on the start up.......

by the way i forgot to ask when you rejet the carb you might have to adjust the fuel mixture neddle that is behind the silver plug that you drill out on the left side of the carb next to the idle screw. i think that you screw it in about a half turn but i dont remember.
