Default Need help. Meerkat 50 oil change

Hi. I am trying to get the shipping oil out of my Meerkat 50. I found what I believe to be the oil plug but I can't get a wrench or socket on it.

Wrench - no room to turn it as it binds on a random fin on the case. Even if that fin were removed there is enough other junk in the way that it would be difficult.
Socket - frame is "notched" to allow room for a socket however the notch is in the wrong place. Can't get in there without unbolting the motor or other fairly major tasks.

How have you done it?

Thanks.

Rob

This is a little messy, but you can take the fill cap off and tip the machine on its side.

If the bolt you looking at is in a notched corner of the frame and crossbar, than thats the right one.I use a thin wall socket and it works fine.

Thanks, but its too far off for any of my sockets, even the thin walled snap-on.

I may try to get some sort of vacuum pump (brake bleeder or "oil change" pump) and trying that. I used one on my boat before.
