YJ-200 Clutch Wires Question
#1
Hey all,
I'm performing the PDI for my Son's new YJ-200 Quad...The clutch lever on the handlebar has two wires coming from it that lead to nowhere...they are disconnected. Does anyone have any idea as to what they could be for? I know they are not for the reverse and neutral idiots lights, because they do come on. There are two wires coming out of the wiring harness at the front of the bike that are also leading to nowhere, one of the wires is the same color as the clutch wire, but the other two do not match. I don't want to hook them up in fear of blowing something or causing any electrical mess ups!!!
Any leads...get it...leads!!!! Thanks.

Maybe they are for the electric start override if the machine is not in neutral the electric start does not engage.
Pull in the clutch and that switch may be needed to be connected in a fashion that overrides the safety .
Some have a a starter shutoff relay just before the solenoid.
This is just a guess see if there is a matching color wire in that area and trace it back with an ohm meter or test lamp.
