Just picked up a neglected 04 Diamondback. After i cleaned the carb, I was screwing the throttlebody cap back on and the thing split in two. Must have been a poor casting as there's another crack on the other side.
The carb is stamped Walbro PZ WFZ. I can't seem to find any info or the availability of replacement parts.
Anyone know any thing about this carb?

you lost me...
you say you were "screwing the throttlebody cap back on"
then you say "It's not the screw-down type"
Personally i have never seen a Walbro PZ carb that did not have a screw on cap...
but for what it's worth just about any briggs and Straton dealer should be able to order the parts for you or go directly to walbro. Ebay is always an option to.

pictures are here:
Broken carb picture 1
Broken carb picture 2
Already tried a high strength metal epoxy. Not enough surface.
Searched Ebay - no help.

Awwww
check with local small engine shops they may have some of them layin around.
For a cheap fix you could JB weld the broken peice back on then cut out a piece of sheet metal the same shape as the entire cap, drill the two holes (one for the throttle cable one for the screw) and jb weld it to the cap. Basically the sheet metal cap is just holding the broken cap together and inplace once the screw is tightened down
if you need me to explain it better i'll draw it out on paint for you tomorrow

Hardly-D,
Thanks for the response.
I checked with a master welder. TIG or Heliarc could possibly do the job, but risky without knowing the metal composition.
So, the whole piece is currently under a mass glob of JB weld. Heck, I might even add another coat. Nothing to loose.
I guess I'll know in another 16 hours
On another note, yesterday, went to a Polaris dealer who sold Denlis back in the day. They still had a couple '05s on the lot. The salesman said I could get a good deal on one, then he quoted me a $1900 price. I laughed. and told him I'll stick with my $200 one.
