get a pipe, clutch kit and hi compression head. what year viper is it ? the earlier ones had the green wire that can be cut to increase the revs. the newer ones with the adjustable one still has a rev limiter even turned up all the way. you must have a no rev limit cdi with a pipe. get a good pipe not an fmf. buy your pipe from wrh or hetrick and they can also set you up with a clutch and variater kit too. wrh is the only builder that makes a true eton pipe. if you buy any other you will have to cut the front cross brace on your floor boards or install weld on nerf bars. leave the stock air box on it. if you put a uni or K & N filter on you will be rejetting constantly. not worth the hassle

Do you have to lose the battery with the WRH pipe? I would like to keep it if possible
The Viper is a 2004 still running the oil injection

cant remember on the battery but he also has an aluminum battery box so you can relocate it. the 04 should have the green wire. take the hood off. the front piece on the nose of the quad. the cdi should be on the right side as you stand in front of the quad. black box with wires coming out of it in a rubber mount. take the cdi out of the rubber mount. on the back there should be a green wire that comes out the back of the cdi and then goes back in. cut that green wire and tape both ends. no more rev limiter.
