Well you need 3 things fuel spark and compression. Have you checked the compression by chance? Like mentioned above possibly a tight valve staying open a bit.</end quote></div>

This may sound dumb,but here goes.You forgot air,= 4.

What about the filter, passage ways.Unlikely it could be that with only 20 minutes ride time, but I certainly would not rule that out without checkin it.

Could it be get too much fuel, mywifesquad?

What about the kill switch?Maybe its on or faulty.</end quote></div>

Yes when I mentioned fuel I was refering to a mixture of air and fuel.

I read on one of these threads that many of the quads that are shipped to your door have a gel inside the bowl protect the the float while being shipped. The gel will dessolve by being mixed with the gas, however many people will assemble the quad and will start to ride the quad without the gel being totaly dissolved. the float may be stuck or the jets partically blocked. I hope this helps.

I was thinking that also but he said he took off the carb and sprayed starting fluid in the cylinder. Im now wondering if its still got the stock spark plug and it isnt good enough to fire under compression. If its still on the stock plug I would get a NGK C7HSA and try it again.

I want to thank everyone for their advice. We took it someone who knows these things and it was CDI box. My son is riding with no problem now. Thanx again.

I bought one for my daughter for x-mas and it's been rode 2 times about 30 mintues total. When you get it running it runs strong however it stalls sometimes when she stops and its VERY VERY hard to get started, Ive had to use a squirt of starter fluid to get it going and it also seems like the choke which is on the handlebars doesnt work correct either. What do all you experts think? Ideas?

Thanks for the welcome, so you think since I just put it together out of the crate like 3 weeks ago and its only been ridden around the yard it could still be dirty? Let me ask ya something else, on the right side of the atv looking in at carb. where the choke cable comes in, it wraps around a spring and there a black **** right there that the cable is also hooked too. I'm not sure if this does anything because all the adjustment screws are on the left side, what do ya think. WOW this thing is making me mad and making my wife yell at me more because we just bought the darn thing.

P.S. If anybody lives close I'll pay ya to fix it lol.

The symptoms sound very similar. The engine doesn't spark at the right time. It was nearly imposable for us to figure out. But if it is your CDI box my recommendation is to buy a Honda CDI not Chinese. Hope this helps.
