lt 80 carb problem i think
got a 2000 lt80 for my son and am having problems keeping it running. cleaned carb thoroughly, put it back together and he road it for 45 min or so ran great. tried to start it after 15 min break or so and turned over but would not start. checked plus and all good there. took off carb cleaned and same prob. bought rebuild kit for carb put back together started ran great next day turns over but no start. cleaned carb again replaced fuel lines still no start. it gets spark and will turn over all day but cant get it to fire. im at a loss any ideas at all. the only parts on this that aren't stock are a trinity pipe and a wiseco piston stock bore though. i cant figure out why it will run so good then nothing
thanks for the help

Maybe gas delivery prob? IE: running out? Dies when carb bowl empty's out? Take off carb boot, spray 2 "minor" shots of gas "using trigger sprayer"..See if it will start... If so maybe petcock prob, or float is stuck in up position shutting off flow?

This process should only be done right after you ride it (when it has quit). Get another person to help. Have them work the starter controls. "You" squirt the gas consistently. See if it will stay running. If so, fuel starvaion may be the problem..

P.S. The original petcock is vacuum so it won't flow unless the engine is cranking or running...

unless its cloged or broke. if its clogedit will not pump gas or if the diphram has a hole in it it wont pump gas. turn to prime and its on all the time no vacuum needed.
