Anyone have one? My fathers friend is a dealer and I have an opportunity to get a leftover 250 at a very good price. The reviews I could find were pretty positive.

I've seen a couple of reviews and they were pretty impressed with it. When the wifes Trail Blazer went down, that was the bike I was going to replace it with. Just couldn't find any dealers that had it in stock at a decent price. Arctic Cat's DVX 250 is a rebadge of the Kymco, so they must have been pretty impressed with it.

Only thing I didn't like about them was the width. But a good set of wheel spacers would take care of that.

I raced a 250 Mongoose at 2- 12 hour races. We didn't expect it to finish 1 12 hour but I went back for another.
I raced 2 MX's with it also. They are rock solid. Yes the wheel spacers helped.
Most honda parts will fit too. I have a TRX 450R axel in mine.

Thanks guys!

Sounds like they are nice machines. I know Kymco actually was started in the early 60's to make parts for Honda. My father repairs Kymco Scooters for a local dealer and he says the scooters are well built usually suffering from owner neglect. It seems like you get a lot of machine for the $$.

I've seen the parts they offer for the Scooters, and they can make those things really fly. Not sure how many parts will interchange with the Mongoose, but they do seem to have quite a bit of aftermarket parts for that model.

Can you get good undercarriage protection for them or do they come with decent skid plates? I live in NE which is basically one big rock garden!

If you can't find it listed for the Kymco, they may have one listed for the DVX 250. Pretty sure they have them listed for the Mongoose though.

The skid plate isplastic and got ripped off in a hurry.
The 2nd 12 hour was nothing but rocks. No issues, non, nada. I would have thought something would have got hit/bent.
