Default port & poloish or big bore

i have a lt80 with lrd pipe, 20mm carb, removed air box, engine is getting tired & going to either port & polish w/new piston or that plus big bore kit. cant decide if the big bore is going to be to much maintenanc or will it somewhat trouble free, my kid loves the power & is begging for the big bore, anybody with expieance with this??

Welcome to the forums.
I have plenty of experience on this subject.
OK, FYI:: 1) the 105 big bore is actually 96cc's with the stock stroke. 2) you can bore the stock cylinder to accept the big piston, their sleeve is not needed and the costly part (it's only .0015 thicker). 3) cc's isn't where you gain HP and speed. 4) just a waste of money. 5) the sleeves (stock or theirs) is very thin w/the big piston and reliability will suffer.
As you wondered, the port and polish is how you get em going. Maybe you'd like 2-3 times the HP and rpm's raised from 6500 to 12k+ with no reliability problems??
I've put my stock bore cylinders up against the big bores, they got 2 stroke exhaust in their face.
