bottom end?
#1
I was pretty sure my kids polaris scrambler 90 needed a new top end. Loss of power, some smoke, head gaskets seemed to be leaking, bike just running bad all around. So I took apart the top end; some wear and scoring in the cylinder for sure.
My question is should the rod move up and down at all? I'd guess some side to side movement is ok but does it moving up and down when the crank is still mean the bearings are gone? Any ideas or help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Well, with the piston off I can move the rod up and down to the case. Don't know if I want to tackle fixing that on top of all its other issues. May have to look for a new bike.
Thanks for the responses.
