Hi all. i just bought a non running 90 and it looks like the cam timing is off. I pulled the plug and found the tdc mark but I don't see a mark on the case for the cam gear, there ate 2 raised bosses on the casting.... does anyone know if that is where the mark should line up? any help would be appreciated.. thanks

Just wondering why are you leaning towards cam timing?? Is it becuase it has no compression??

 

sorry for the delay.. been sick with the flu... when cranking over you can hear the compression blowing out the exhaust.. like the vales are opening too soon.. wont kick over on starting fluid.. has good spark etc.. the guy i bought it from took it to a baja auth service center.. they had it 4 months and sold him a new battery, carb and plug.. still didn't run and he took it back..i found the timing mark under a allen plug on the flywheel and the mark on the cam sprocket but cant find a mark to line it up with.. I'm going to see if i can like up the cams and see if someting looks good.. i'll post a picture if i get it lined up.
