Default Looking @ Vbike 300-T "Thunder"

Hello everyone, I've been looking to buy a new Vbike 300-T "Thunder" or the Roketa Atv-61. Right now im on the fence, but falling off into the Vbike's back yard( the good reviews are what sells me). The price isnt that big a deal but id like to keep it under 2500 if possible. Has anyone upgraded their bike( after-market exhaust, jet-kit, better rims & tires, etc...)? And how readily available are the parts if needed, I have no dealers here in upstate NY? I'm pretty handy with a wrench and a welder so minor things not a big deal. Also, what kind of carb comes with Vbikes?

Hello Goshen and welcome to the forum.Looks like both are nice bikes but like you are concerned about parts is a big factor.
There are as you have read several of us vbike owners that are very pleased with our bikes.Tim at vbike carries parts in stock .
My wife has a roketa 56A and is a very good machine but we have never had to try to order parts for it yet.
There are a couple of people in the forum that has talked about the intrest of buying the Thunder but as of yet I have not seen where someone has pulled the trigger and buy one.Would love to hear a review on one.
The carbs on these are made in Japan not china seem to pretty good.I havn't done any mods really except for three inch wheel extensions on the rear.
Yes there are rims and tires available for them.
Good luck with your decision. This is an awsome forum with great people that are always willing to lend a hand.

I just found the same exact bike on ebay through Vbike's ebay store, but on ebay it says its a 4 speed and on the Vbike website it says its a 5 speed, so I emailed Vbike and it turns out it is a 4speed(4 fwd. 1 rev.) Now its not that big a deal but its nice to have 5th gear, so have you ever opened your 250 full throttle in 4th? How is it in top gear? I guess I really dont need 5th that much for the kind of riding I do, mostly tight hard trails but occasionally open fields and train tracks. And has anyone put nerfbars on, if so which company?

I have not opened my 250 all the way.I am pretty new to atv's and going 40ish is enough for me on four wheels.

You may find these reviews interesting regarding the Roketa 61

We bought a 250 V4S vbike from tim about two months ago.

We couldn't be happier. Please keep in mind that Tim the owner is a great guy, with ALL the parts you would need. He is knowledgable and nice which is a plus when you consider that these are 1000+- knockoffs but you wouldn't know it when dealing with Tim.

I am 5' 7" 200 and I get around great on this thing. We abuse the hell out of it. It is ridden hard because none of us really know what we are doing.

We change the oil after about 20 hours of use everytime, tighten everything before each ride, and lube chain. But the kids 13-40 are looking for a thrill so we gun it a lot.

We paid 1200 for the v4S brand new. Thats a heck of a deal for a great bike. The warranty is nice too.

To answer your Q on 4th gear if you are on straight away sure, but chances are you won't leave third on trails for off road. Great bike for the money!
