Thanks slydog for all your research and time you have put into this. It's forums like this that help us all now and in the future.

I've seen lots of different engine parts and engines by Zongshen on Ebay. I've also seen big bore kits.

I wonder if Lifan, Zongshen, and Loncin are producing the same engine? This ebay seller advertises this head fits all three brands of push rod type engines.

For all Zongshen, Lifan, Loncin with 150-200cc pushrod
Do you want REAL POWER? BRUTAL TORQUE? Well we have the head for you! This is the new Sportsman HO series head available for the 150-250cc Pushrod engine. This is basically a Stage II-III head without the high compression, stainless valves. Everything is still there! Serious portwork is standard as is the High performance valve springs, stainless valve guides, 3 angle valve job, Teflon valve stem seals for leak free performance. Some people want Maximum output without paying the maximum price! Thats why we decided to produce these heads. They come with massive 34MM performance standard intake valves and 28MM performance standard exhaust valves for High Output. These heads are used on the KING KONG 250cc engine and when bolted on to the same engine wakes it up to perform like never before! When installed on the smaller 150cc-200cc engines it will wake it up like never before! NOTE: smaller engines blocks may need to be chamfered to unshroud the valves from the engines massive valves! Its an easy an inexpensive insurance policy. NOW FINALLY POWER FOR THE MASSES! PLEASE ALLOW 2-4 WEEKS FOR DELIVERY

This one says it will fit

200cc Loncin Sportbike and Lifan sportibike
SOHC riders finally can make their bikes run faster and perform better! Feel the difference from stock with this bolt-on true performer. NOTE: does not include valve cover or Camshaft. This is the only known racing head for this bike! Make the 150cc-200cc SOHC accelerate quicker and have better throttle response now! Has high compression, Performance valve springs, performance standard big valves:32mm intake and 27mm exhaust with stainless seats (you will feel the difference!) Ported and polished intake and exhaust ports with 5 angle valve job comes standard. PLEASE ALLOW 2-4 WEEKS FOR DELIVERY **Comes with head and block gaskets

Default 171FMM engine who makes it ?

Ghcoe,
It's funny you mention that, I just talked with that seller this morning and he said that unless it has ZS171 for Zongshen or LF171 for Lifan or LC171 for Loncin that it is made by another company and not them. He did say that they are all the same internally and didn't seem like a big deal that they are made by other companies since the internals are the same. So I guess all 3 could be making the engines, but unless we have the ZS, LF, OR LC, designations before the the engine model like LC171FMM versus the standard 171FMM we must have a generic version of a cloned chinese engine !

I would just like to know which factory it came from, but at least we know parts for the most part are interchangeable within the same part number and CG250 styled engine. Maybe someday we will find out how to tell one from the other................................Slydog

Now my Hanma R9 that I bought for my son has a 110cc engine in it. It has YG 152 FMH for a engine code. I am thinking that the first letters are for the manufacture and the rest is the engine size/type/family. Think I read somewhere where the Lifan has a 169FML and a 163FML and the last two numbers where the bore size. They were the same cc engine just different strokes...
