Default Eton 90 carb question

I have a 2003 eton 90 viper and the owner before me adjusted the carb and it would not run right-so he sold it for a good deal. I am trying to adjust everything back to stock and I am wondering what position the clip on the needle should be at. It is on the 4th position right and need to know if this is correct. Thank you for any help.

The stock clip position is in the middle. Set airscrew between 1 and 1 1/2 turns out. If the previous owner didn't take out pilot jet and make sure it's not stopped up do that too. You can't adjust around a stopped up jet or dirty carb.
