i looked up the bolt hardness. the bolt head has 8.8 on it. that seems to be a pretty strong bolt. anyone ever tested these chinese bolts to see if they are truely that strong. or do i need to go to a 10.9 strength?

I have noticed some of the bolts are of poor quality and "feel" like they are stretching when tightening. I would not trust what it says on the bolt as the chinese can copy anything. Like you said just go to the hardware store and get some real grade 8 bolts and nuts and replace them that way you know it's right and bolts are cheap.
