Default Help me I need more speed

I purchased this bike for my child and when we got it the power and speed is reduced. I have backed the thottle limiter screw out. Did not fix. I was told there was a way of changing the syntrifical clutch to get more speed out of the bike. The bike has extra thottle and power, but it acts like something in the trans or clutch is restricting it. Anyone know how to fix this???

I'm not familiar with that machine but some bikes like the older arctic cats had a metal ring that would keep the clutches from opening up all the way to prevent it from shifting into high gear....They also had huge rear sprockets to keep the speed down..

I have a 07 kfx90 we had to remove the left side plastics, foot board and the kickstart, then pull the cvt cover off (mark your screws, some of them are different depths), use an impact wrench to take the front pully nut off, remove the outer cover of pully(looks like a fan) and pull the belt off that boss, the shim (metal ring) should fall right out it sits under the belt on the boss, put it all back together and ride, my sons 90 went from 15mph to 30mph with this simple change. Takes about 20 min if you have the right tools.
