LT80 suspension
#1
Hi i'm new to this forum. My son has an 01 LT80. I am getting ready to make some light mods to it. Can I swap out a rear shock from, say, a late model RM80 to get better suspension travel in the rear or do I have to spend all the money and get works/handmade suspension front & rear?
Any feedback on the chain/sprocket kit from Midwest Mini? Does it really improve top speed & eliminate chain friction & drag? Does it work?
Thank You, sorry for the stupid questions.

the only rear shock i could find that fits without modifying the lower bracket is the works shock. there were some other ones but you had to "make" it fit. the fronts there are quite a few different options available. you could try just matching it up with a similar better one. but i just ordered the one from midwest mini. he's done the reserch already and i dont have time to fart around and try them unitl i find one that works. as for the gearing you can also just order direct suzuki replacements and get different chain. if you look at my thread in regard to mods a little lower down the page you will find the lt80 mod gurus responses to my questions about that. again i just ordered the kit from midwest mini because it was cheaper than the suzuki dealership here in canada and i didnt have the time to run around finding the parts. hope this helps.
