No problem but you might be getting your first bit of run around. Im not positive but pretty sure all atvs are 12 volt. I certainly dont think the Chinese are going 18 volt.

Thanks for all the insight.
I did in fact buy from Best price a model 318 sport.
My twleve year old has only logged in about 10hours on the ATV so far, but here's the facts so far for me as they pertain to my purchase.
Transaction and order process was horrible. The sales rep inadvertantly ran my cc card thru twice, which thankfully threw up red flags at my bank. As it was a large out of state transaction they declined it.
My bank is the one that informed me there was a problem. Best Price did not. So that delayed shipment about a week.
The atv then did not leave on time as promised and it was delayed by about 10 days total. Best price did however fess up to the mistake and threw in a free flag, and reduced the price $75 for my inconvienence, HOWEVER I didn't sense much remorse, just more I was pain in the butt.
It showed up fine, no damage or packaging problems. It did have 3 manufacturing problems however. The seat had a bolt missing on the latch bracket, the front bumper is slightly twisted, I had to physically bend to line up the holes and the right front tire has a slow leak in it.
I called and they have sent me a complete new seat and new front bumper. I have not called back about the tire as I did not notice that right away.
So OK customer service follow up so far. You deal directly with the parts department and as unbelievable as the other poster mentioned, they simply took my word for it and did not ask for the old parts back or digital photos or anything.
Only mechanical issue noticed is chain has loosened very quickly and annoying clanking as it hits the chain guard. However while not what I planned my son has only been able to ride in our yard and on our street ( dead end road) so I'm sure pavement does not help.
I'm not an expert but it seems there are pro's and cons to all these bikes. It also seems there are pro's and cons's on every dealer out there. I even saw some derrogatory ones about Raceway who is a sponsor of this site. BUT the selling point for me was I wanted specific features I could not find on other models or at other stores. I spent about two weeks researching on internet and probably visited 100 sites and made 20-25 phone calls.
I wanted my son to learn to use a rear foot brake not a hand brake ( this is hard to find)
I wanted my son to learn to shift, albeit semi automatic, he gets the idea of shift points and down shifting. I'll introduce a clutch on his second model.
I wanted a reverse gear. I'm a recovering cancer patient and these things are heavy, reverse is a nice thing.
I wanted something bigger than aTRX90 or LT 80. The measurments of this unit are only an inch or so off the specs of a raptor 250. My son who is 12 and about a 100lbs fits fine and has maybe a year or two of growth. But I'm not worried about him being over his head power wise like I would be with a raptor.
So my rating on just a month of history would be.
Price 10 out of 10
Quality of unit 8 out of 10 ( you get what you pay for)
Customer service of Best price 6 out of 10
Reliability Unknown
Customer support after purchase Unknown.
I have not pulled the bulbs, but the battery in my unit is a 12volt and is stamped in the side and top of battery itself.
Will update as we put more time into.
Again thanks for all the help, everyones opinion on here has helped.
