Default Baja 90 oil problem

Hi, I have a 90cc baja that seems like it has no oil pressure. When I got it it had a broken piston and block. I put a brand new piston and block on it and fired it up. Right off the back I could tell the engine seemed to get tight after it ran for about 30 seconds so I shut it down and pulled it back apart. The piston had scrapes on the top and bottom and there was no oil getting to the head. Is this a pump problem? How do I check? Yes it had oil in it. Can someone help me diagnose this problem.

sounds like you have eaither a bad oil pump or the screen below the oil pump is plugged. remove the right side engine cover, in front of the clutch is the oil pump, just below the pump is the filter screen, use needle noise pliers and remove it , it just slides out and see if its plugged, if it not plugged then go to e-bay and order a new oil pump, they run just around $10.00 plus shipping

Thanks for the reply, I took the right cover off and checked the screen, it had a couple of very very small pieces but nothing that would block the flow of oil. I was thinking my pump is not working too. You think thats whats wrong?
