I cant get the carb adjusted right......starts and runs cold, but after it warms up it dies, wont restart until choked. It stumbles real bad at high rmp......wont reach redline.
Bike only has about 5 hours on motor.....was in a puddle up to handlebars within first hour, started smoking after drying and cleaning out, and been in local shop getting new piston and rings. Mechanic said the piston was too small from factory?, so he replaced it, but the bike hasnt been tuned correctly since,
I tried tightning and backing out 2 turns on the air/fuel, still no luck after engine gets warm.
After Cleaning........engine runs good till half throttle, then acts like rev limiter......kinda backfires, and stumbles............

Did it run ok before the dunk in the water? If so id guess the carb or some of the electrical connections got water in them.

It actually ran really well after the dunk.........after the shop changed the piston did it start the sputtering and backfiring. Mechanic said that the carb probably still has someting in it. I started taking plastics and gas tank off to reach the carb better, and found plastic shavings in the tank and petcock, but after test ride, there was still same problem. Engiine runs fine till about half throttle, then falls.
