kazuma meerkat timing
#2
timing marks for chinese 50-125cc chinese honda clone engines, this includes your 50cc meerkat.
on the left side of the engine cover, their's two small covers, the first one is on the side, depending on the manufacture it's eaither round with a slot appox 2" diameter or oval with 4 8mm bolt heads holding it on, this cover is the access hole for the crankshaft nut, you insert a 14mm socket to beable to rotate the crankshaft counterclock wise. the timing access hole is the quarter size cover with a slot on top of the left side engine cover, remove this cover and rotate the cranksaft until the timing marks are visable, TDC is the timing mark with the "T".
if after you rotate the flywheel and are unable to see the timing marks thu the access hole then you need to remove the left side engine cover, this takes appox 5 minutes or less, find the mark with the "T" on the flywheel and then take a magic marker draw a line across the flywheel, then reassemble.
