Default Kazuma 50 leaking gas?

I have a Meerkat 50 and the carb is leaking gas out of the bottom hose on the float bowl. I assume it's the overflow. I have taken the carb apart to clean and inspect. Any ideas? I looked at the carb and without knowing the exact teminology to explain myself I will try. When you take the floats out there is a silver piece that is directly under it with a sharp pointed end. Does this require a spring? It doesn't have one and I think it might be the problem. Anyone have an exploded view of all entire carb? Thsi would help out alot. Any other ideas or info is appreciated. It's getting old working on this thing more than my kids get to ride it!! Thanks in advance.

My wee brother has just got one and had the same problem.

The gas is leaking out the tube at the bottom?

If yes, then there should be a screw somewhere that you turn and it stops the gas leaking out the tube.

I found the issue. It was the needle that goes under the floats. I had it in backwards, flipped it over and problem solved. Thanks for the reply.

Well when we put gas in our brothers

it leaked out a tube on the bottom and all that it needed was the screw turned to shut the thing off.

Mine has the same screw but was coming out of the overflow tube. The guy at the shop told me the jet was inverted, this not pushing the floats up to shut the fuel off. Then it would just overflow out the bottom.

My leak was caused by two strands of hair that worked their way from somewhere to the float valve. I was lucky to see it when I took it apart the second time.
