I just picked up an lt80 It has new 20 7 8 tires on the front and rear tires are worn out so I was looking at 18 9.50 8 tires for the rear and was wondering if the rear would sit way lower than the front with this tire combination and if the tires would work on the stock rims?

9.5 is way wide. Some like em wide, course, some like to weld broken cases too.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]
18" tires will be 1" lower than 20" tires.

 

How do wider tires cause broken cases?

 

IMO:: The more tire to ground friction will make them harder to turn which makes more pressure on the cases.
