Question Help me please!

I have a Kaysea Skyhawk 150 (http://www.powersportsnetwork.com/en...t=PA&submit=Go) that wont start. I think it might need a new spark plug but I cant find where the spark plug is at on the atv. Also I let fuel stay in it all winter and I think I need to drain out the fuel but I don't know how to do that either. Can anyone help me out? Also does the kaysea skyhawk 150 take pure gas or is it a mix of oil and gas? I have looked all over online and cant find any of this information. And what kind of oil does this atv take? oh and 2 of the tires are flat, would it be a mistake to use fix a flat on them? I really cant afford new tires.

Please help me!

Max

If you had fuel in it for a long period of time with no stabilizer in it, that is most likely your problem. You'll probably need to clean the carb out real good before it will run again. Also, check the petcock if it has one, to make sure fuel is flowing out of the tank and into the carb.
By the description on the link you listed, the motor is a 4 stroke which means no fuel/oil mix.
As for the tires, just air them up. I would never use fix a flat in ANY tire. When you need to change them out, you will have a ton of work to do to clean that crap out before you can get the new tire on and most likely will have to cut the old one off. Most ATV tires will leak down over time. As long as you don't have a fast leak, don't worry too much about it. Just go with it.

Hey Fourwheeldrive,
Do you know where the carb is located on the atv? and do you know how to clean it? Yes my atv has a petcock but I cant tell if there is fuel in it because the tube leading out of it isn't clear.
I tried blowing up the tires but they went flat the next day.

Thanks for the useful information!

Welcome to the forum herphandler !

Youve more than likely got a GY6 engine copy...does it have a plastic shroud with a round vent on the right side? If so the spark plug is just forward of that vent...The carb is just up from that plastic shroud...sometimes hidden rel well under the plastic on a 150..

I use Valvoline 10w-40 in mine...uses about 28-30 ozs.

Mywifesquad,
I don't see any plastic on or close to the engine.

Thanks for the info though!

In Herphandler's first post there is a link with a small picture in it. If you look close the engine doesn't look like a GY6. Plus the transmission listed in the spec's is listed as having different gears as compared being automatic.

From looking at that picture, I'd guess the carb is under the gas tank at the rear of the engine. Take off the seat and have a look. You can also follow the tube that comes out of the air cleaner. There's an excellent chance that it will lead you straight to the carb.

If a guy can't find a spark plug, it's obvious that he shouldn't try to find the carb let alone work on it.
Find a friend that has mechanical ability dude.
