ok thanks! i will need one to check out the carb. cleaned it real good but still won't run. i can get it to run if i cover the throat of the carb with my hand. it's like its getting too much air. i dont see any cracks in the intake or the air cleaner. i am thinking it's something to do with the choke or something is still dirty. there is a lot you can't get to on that carb. the bike sat in my garage for 4 years. now the kids want to ride it! LOL
oh well.

Check your carb pilot jet. Most likely it's clogged up with old gas that has varnished. I had the exact same problem. The pilot jet hole is very small .0015 thousandths of an inch.
