Default Wheel Spacers or Wheels?

I would like to make my sons LT 80 wider. It has stock wheels and tires on it now. I would not mind putting some aluminum wheels on it. But I'm not sure what size. Wheel spacers are an option. Any suggestions?

The aluminum wheels would save quite a bit of weight....which in theory should help performance.....not sure about the cost vs performance benefit though.

I ordered a complete set (front and rear) set of spacers of eBay for about $50 shipped for my sons LT80. I went 2 1/2" per wheel for a total added width of 5" per axle. LOVE IT. Now he can pin the throttle and hammer all the way around the yard/track without having to lift for the corners......its stable enough if anything it will just slide on around. They have been trail tested as well, no breakage or other concerns. Really made it look bigger as well. The only downside I see.....now the wheels toss mud all over him and the wee wheeler.

Ive got some pictures if your interested in seeing the spacers on an LT80.

I am in 100% agreement with this comment. I went with the aluminum wheels and they add a lot of stability. Just my two cents.
