eton 50- running without engine shroud

Default eton 50- running without engine shroud
would it be ok to run a eton 50 air cooled 2 stroke without the engine shroud on. i have the fan shroud which covers the fan and pushes the air towards the cylinder, but the shroud that surronds the cylinder is missing. do i need this or can the quad be run with out it?

I would think it would run hotter without the complete shroud...

Yep. Designed to have one for a reason IMO.
I'd worry about overheating.
