Default Lt80 throttle restrict

How do I restrict the throttle from opening on LT80? I want to restrict it so my kids can learn to handle it fully.

Theres a small screw up by the thumb throttle that controls it. I believe you turn it in to slow it down.

I have even set it to where it barely has enough throttle to grab the belt but the quad will still do like 12 to 15 mph. Id like to be able to run and catch her being that my daughter isnt strong enough to fully engage the brakes. I heard there is a exhaust limiting 'washer' in the exhaust. Im pretty sure the previous owner took that off as well as the diaphragm in the carb. Iv'e looked into possible gearing but people mostly want to make them faster, not slower. Im kinda stuck atm

Remove 2 rollers and see if that helps.
How is it she can't activate the rear brakes?

I'll have to try that. As for the brakes, the hand brake for.the front she isn't strong enough to squeeze just yet. Not even 4 yet but big for her age. The rear foot pedal I just guess I have told her about it. Prob more of an issue for me in my mind than her being able to do it.

I agree with you. I ride it with her at the moment. I didnt want to get a 50 that she would grow out of in a yr or 2.
