Default Suzuki LT80 running rich?

Hi, i have a 94 LT80 that tends to smoke a lot both hot and cold, still running oil injector, the bike is standard but had a full rebuild 3 years ago, is it safe to run a standard bike on the leanest needle clip, it was on the second clip down and making the plug a very dark brown but not fouling, i now have the needle clip at the top and the smoke is less excessive, it runs a lot smoother from cold and runs sweeter at WOT, my only concern is running it on the leanest setting, i checked the plug and it was a light tan colour which to me seemed ok, if i keep an eye on the plug should i be ok?. Thankyou. Steven.

You'll be just fine.
The LT80's are jetted fat in stock form.
