yamaha 4-zinger
Wheeee!!! bought an old (86?) 4-zinger out of a guys shed for $50, cleaned the carb, changed the fuel and oil and a new plug. Starts first pull, every time! Holy cow does this little bugger fly for a 60cc. With my fat carcass on it the thing will carry a wheelie and go faster than I ever would have thought. Waiting for the fourth tire to come in, needed new ones bad and they were backordered, have 3 so far.
Still need a few little things, any idea where I could source a new gas cap, a new choke cable and the throttle side thing with the switch that goes from start-run-off? My switch is broken off, still works you just have to catch a fingernail in there to slide the switch.
Hoping with the throttle dialed way down it will be ok for my 5 y/o boy to ride. The 90 Eton is too big for him and I think he's a little afraid of it, but the zinger is considerably smaller so handling-wise I think he'll be ok.
I'm pretty psyched about my youth atv investment so far. I always worried about buying small atvs because I thought they could outgrow them so fast, but size-wise these things have a ways to go before they get too small, and both of them oughta be able to keep up with mom and dad on easy trails. Plus theres a 3rd child (not yet 2) who will be able to step up to the 4-zinger in a couple years probably.
