Hi guys what drives these quads ? It was working fine but sat for 2 weeks outside while it's been raining lots and now kids went to use and it's slipping ?

 

It seems that the belt got wet.

 

that is what I was hoping for how and where do I access it ? Also it is a 1987 model ! any pics ?

 

You can remove the drain plug from the lower right of the clutch cover. It's the only hex head bolt down there and I think it's a 12mm.
You can also remove the inspection cover. That'll help dry it out. That has the 4- 8mm hex head bolts.
You could pull the clutch cover and do the clutch maintenence that it should have anyways.
