Lookin for some advice with the LT 80???
#1
Hey guys,
Seems like the place to get some good info, let me just say this is my first quad and I absolutely love the little thing already. I got it for my kids but there still a little young so for now id like to have my way with this machine for now.
So it's a 99, it runs but I can feel it needs some work. I replaced the battery and starter so far and cleaned the carb. It gives me trouble starting at times, I was once riding it at full throttle for about 60 seconds and as I reached a slight incline it just died and wouldn't kick back over until it cooled down. Atleast that's what seemed to be the deal. It would just blow the fuse for the starter everytime I tried to start it.
So my question is, where should I start with rebuilding/modding this thing?
Again, this is my first quad and although I feel I'm mechanically inclined I have never worked on a 2 stroke before so I figured I'd ask for advice From people who know what they are doing.
Ive gotten a lot of insight from this forum already and I look forward to more.
So any suggestions?
