Default Wildfire 110 will not stay running when hot

After FINALLY getting this thing running.... after about 20-30 min of running engine slows and sputters dead when idling, or when trying to accel, bogs and dies. Sometimes can get to re start by choking out 1/2, sometimes, restart no choke, sometimes restart only after 30-45min cooldown. Mixture issue? How do I check this? 110 engine with 19mm (?) bowl carb.

If it helps: When restarting, sometimes the starter motor locks, as almost if the engine vapor locked. Also get exhaust/fumes backing out of the air filter in small puffs

Yes... I'm a noob to small engines - used to working on diesel rigs and V8's lol

look on the back of your muffler and see if you can pull out the spark arrestor. One of my quads was severely clogged when I purchases it used. sprayed some carb cleaner all over the screen and its good as new now. I may be way off base here with that idea but I also run sea foam in all my engines to keep them clean.

Sea foam can be bought at just about every auto parts store.

good call never thought of that. Running Seafoam in the tank now - though I think I put a bit much in. Would that effect running severely causing issues I'm seeing? Will try the arrestor in the morning

look under the fuel tank and make sure the foil paper lined insulation is still under the tank separating it from the engine.

Arrestor had some buildup but not much. cleaned anyway. Had a good air flow prior though. Still issue once the engine is hot.

Never saw a foil insulation on the tank... new ones don't come with it, even from factory site. What's the purpose? Obviously heat retardation, but it's absence cause an issue like this? Should it be there? There is roughly a 8-9 gap between the bottom of the tank and the cylinder
