Default Just pick up a 2002 lt 80 have ??

Just picked up a 02 lt80 to add to my collection. I have a couple of ?. The bike is stock except I will be adding a uni filter and replace to the factory reed pedal with a boyseen reed since the factory reed has a hole in it. I also dissabled the oil injection. And will premix it at 32-1 running amsoil oil.

What are the factory jets #'s for the main and pilot. And should I keep them with these mods.

What setting is the needle clip suppose to be in. Right now it is second from the top is this the factory setting.

Also how many turns out for the idle air screw.

Thanks guys this thing was a basket case and I am trying to fix all the wrongs the other owners did.

Are there any free mods for this quad and anything I should look out for.

Thanks again Jim

Welcome to the forums Jim.
Jet's are
Pilot:17.5 or 20 I forget. LOL
Main: 92.5
You can change to a 90 main. Some like that, some don't notice a difference.
You can have the head shaved (by me or a local shop) .030
You can cut the rear clutch shoes down to 180 grams each.
Needle position is fine.
There is no air screw. That's the idle screw.
Oh yea...#3 phillips to get the reed cage off.

Thanks for the reply. So there is no idle air screw on the carb thats the idle adjustment ok cool. Whats all involved with cutting the rear clutch shoes. The reed screws sucked they were all messed up had to heat them and use vice grips and lot of patience.

Thanks

Rear shoes: First off, you need to know that the big nut is left handed.
Once the shoes are off, Cut the back of the clutch shoe off approx 3/4 inch from the contact pads. Then drill the back of the shoes to the exact weight.
You'll need a gram scale. The shoes should all be exactly (or close) same weight.
