Default Lt80 cylinder bore?

Wondering If lt80 cylinder can simply be bored , or does it require a sleeve. I have an old timer who has been working on engines forever, he says it should not be bored do to the metallurgy. He says if bored it should be sleeved. I've seen many people who say they have bored these. Any info would be great. Thanks

You bore them.
.5-1.0-1.5 and 2.0 oversize pistons are readily available.
He may be talking about a nikasiled cylinder.
Use a Suzuki or Pro-X piston. If you go to 2.0 over, only Wiseco makes them.
I been getting pro-x's at Lytle Racing in Phoenix.

Default Lt80 thanks

Lt80 thanks as always. Can I then assume this is not a nikasiled cylinder? This was exactly his concern. Also what is a reasonable price I can expect to have it bored? Thanks
