As above just won't start don't no what's up with it

 

whats the symptoms? is it cranking normal? no odd noises or anything hitting? are you sure the head was never decked before you did it? it could be completely unrelated to the head, but theres not enough info to go by, is it cranking slowly due to compression and a low battery? maybe the spark plug boot is loose on the wire?

 

Cranking normal just seems like not firing up

 

Checked cap that's ok sounds like its nearly wanting to start with choke

 

Wet plug?
Sounds like it's flooded.
OR......no fuel...hand choke it w/2 fingers in front of the carb.
There is no reason for the shaved head to cause a no start condition.

Yes, hand choke it and see if it goes.

 

Probably a dumb question but did u adjust valves? Taking off 30 thousands will change valve geometry alot.
